For your consideration one Thomas handbook 61 Ballard "new model" carbine bullet. You will find this bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice light brown color. The solid base is smooth. See the middle groove on this bullet. Notice how it slopes upward from the base…when you are bullet shopping this is what to look for in a new model Ballard bullet. In the Handbook this groove is filled with dirt & this characteristic cannot be seen. Measures about 0.445 x 0.65 inches. Dug from the Corinth - Shiloh area.
