Base Off A Parrot Shell

Here’s another cool relic. It's the complete bottom 1/4 of a US parrot shell. The entire brass sabot is still attached where heavy riflings from the cannon barrel can be seen. After I electrolyzed this piece the brass sabot will work up & down about a 1/4 inch but will not come off. Coated in polyurethane….clean to handle & stable for life. It's the most historical paperweight I know of. Dug from the Lick Creek Valley of NE Tenn.
