The old Lutheran Church at Mosheim Tennessee

The old Lutheran Church at Mosheim. A true 1 room church built in the 1890’s. The original log church was used as a field hospital just after the battle of Blue Springs. Most of the troops treated on this site were from US General Ambrose Burnside’s Corps as they pulled back towards Knoxville. Another field hospital site is located just a stone's throw from here & it now has a bank sitting on it. The old church has been used as a movie prop for a couple of lower-budget films. I fear for this old structure…..it is now vacant.
