For your consideration one 0.58 caliber Gardiner exploding bullet. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice black to light white color…these bullets are made from pewter. With very good light & with very good eyes (or magnification) parts of the patent information can be seen in raised letters around the base. See base photo 12 o’clock position SHELL & see 6:30-7 o’clock position CURED (My best guess). The entire patent information is S.GARDINER JR SHELL PATENT SECURED. Measures about 0.57 x 1.13 inches.
