For your consideration one Thomas handbook #140 “Southern manufacture”. This bullet is in excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice white…with a thin coat of polyurethane on it. Three faint rings & a nose cap ring can be easily seen. Three clear vertical “slits” can be seen in the side of this bullet…evenly spaced around this bullet. In bullet photo a slit can be seen under the 189. Thomas states” a feature usually evident on Enfield cartridges”. This bullet was sold to me as an Enfield made for a carbine. The cavity is an elliptical type. Measures about 0.52 x 0.885 inches.
