For your consideration one McKee & Mason 383 Cap nose for rifle musket a Confederate bullet. Notice the easy to see cap nose on this bullet. You will find this bullet to be in very good dug condition. The patina will be a nice white color...this bullet is near 100% covered with dirt. The cavity is ogival...M&M cavity 10. Measures about 0.575 x 1.00 inches. Dug in an old growth forest area from the Corinth - Shiloh area. A 383 bullet can have, at least, one of three different cavity types. 1) ellipsoidal 2) truncated cone 3) ogival. Possibly a pressed bullet?     See all 4 photos.
