Thomas' bullet 553 looks to be a near duplicate to my bullet (could be yours). If you have this book you can easily see what I am talking about if not, see my photo 2. You will find this bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition. This item is SOLD. The patina is a real nice light white color. The nose cast uncut sprue is blobie & the bottom groove is partially filled in with the original bullet lube...see photo 2. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.68 x 1.13 inches. BIG, BAD. CRUDE, CONFEDERATE...what could be better?? Dug from the Corinth - Shiloh area.   This item is SOLD.
