For your consideration two Civil War era lead railroad seals. The first is marked on the front in a circular pattern RICHMOND & in the center of this circular patter is marked VA . On the back marked R F & P . This seal is still covered with dirt. Seal 2 has a great white patina & is marked P . Some of the iron wire can still be seen. 

R F & P railroad operated from 1836 to 1991. Their logo was Linking North & South. 

R F & P Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac.
