For your consideration one very cool fragment from a Confederate cannonball. The condition is excellent dug considered the fragment was fired out of a cannon. survived a midair explosion, thrown back to earth at 100+ MPH & laying in the ground for 100+ years. The short CS fuse (for cannonball) is basically perfect. +If you look inside the fuse adaptor some of the original paper fuse is still there. +On the backside of this frag (photo 4 & 1) a large patch of the original sulfur matrix mix can be easily seen & felt, Its shiny black in color. Dug from Petersburg, Virginia.
