For your consideration one McKee & Mason 381 Cap nose for rifle or rifle mskt. bullet. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a thick, white color & I do not see a single patina chip. The nose cast un-cut sprue (blob top) is one of the bigger ones I have seen. Here size does matter. The 3 rings are well defined. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.575 x 1.09 inches. Dark stains can be seen inside the cavity & also see photo 2 the dark stains you see there. The stains are from the original black powder inside the complete cartridge. When lost this cartridge rested very quietly for 100+ years. Dug from the Shiloh, Tenn area.
