For your consideration one McKee & Mason 379 - Thomas handbook 168 Southern manufacture, side cast bullet. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a slick feeling, light white to light grey colors..a near perfect patina. This bullet has the larger side cast mark & with the bullet in hand the side cast mark can be easily seen. See the side cast sprue in photos 1,2 & 4. Both mold seams can be plainly seen. The nose is pointed & the cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.565 x 1.02 inches. Dug from the foothills of Hawkins Co, NE Tenn. CS General Breckinridge's troops. Thomas RoundBall to RimFire Vol 4 lists this bullet as from Nashville or Atlanta.
