For your consideration one small brass shield/rosette device. The condition is very good dug with a minor bend & bump...this one saw the American civil war first hand. The patina is a deeep green...much of this shield is still covered with dirt. Length is about 1 1/4 inches long. Dug from Dandridge, NE Tenn. Longstreet camp-winter 1863-64...1st winter after Gettysburg.
The 3rd photo shows the attachment studs on back. One is bend over & complete. The other is broken off which is most likely why this shield was lost.
