For your consideration one Atlanta arsenal Tower bullet. A salvaged lead bullet or are the black smudges actually gunpowder? I have the bullet in hand & I am not sure. The condition is excellent dug with a small incomplete skirt casting from the arsenal…I mention for accuracy. The patina is a thick, slick, slick white on black & I do not see a single patina chip. The nose is very rounded & the cavity is a deep cone. Meaasures about 0.67 x 0.90 inches. The patina I checked with acetone & no white, no black, nothing came off…AOK. Thomas lists as RBRF#4 601. Has anyone seen a salvaged lead Atlanta Tower before?
