For your consideration one cast I Confederate infantry brass button. Great detail…the I is bold & so is the outline around the I. The front has a slick black patina. The back is solid & still has some dirt left on it. The hook is up right & a small corner of the hook has been broken. I have dug at least 2 cast I buttons where the button hook was broken…so it does happen. Dug from the Augusta, Georgia area.
