For your consideration one Thomas handbook 167 The "Spilman" pattern cartridge with the nose of the bullet exposed was made at the Lynchburg Ordnance Depot, VA. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a thick white color & I do not see a single patina chip. Notice the odd bulbed nose & the slight high base first ring. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.575 x 1.05 inches. Dug from the Franklin, Tenn area.      See all 4 photos.
