For your consideration one Confederate Enfield bullet with a large side cast mark near the base. Listed in the Thomas RoundBall to RimFire series 4 as bullet 525. You will find this bullet to be a very, very crude bullet that is in excellent dug condition. The patina is a light white to light grey color & I do not see a single patina chip. HEAVY mold seams can be seen on both sides…as if this bullet was cast in a worn mold. The cavity is interesting. In the Stelma bullet book Tom spoke of a double ring cavity. This bullet has a double ring plug cavity with step (depression) directly in the center of the plug. An interesting cavity. Measures about 0.57 x 0.975. If you like crude CS bullets (like me) what could make this bullet any better? Dug from the Corinth/Shiloh area.
