For your consideration one Confederate script C coat button listed in Tice as CSC215A3 with a brass back. Condition is excellent dug. The script C can be easily seen along with the outside border. The lines inside of the C are harder to see but they are there. A mild push can be found to the center of this button. The back is smooth with no backmark & the hook is attached & pushed over to one side. Back & front are strongly attached. Dug from one of Confederate General Thomas Rosser New Market, Virginia camps. Rosser fought at 1st & 2nd Manassas, Seven Days Battle, Peninsula Campaign, Catletts Station, South Mtn., Antietam, Gettysburg, Overland Campaign, Wilderness, Cedar Creek, Petersburg, Five Forks & Appomattox Court House. He was wounded at Mechanicsville, Kelly’s Ford & Trevillion Station.
