For your consideration one Georgia 50 cent fractional note wartime dated January 1st, 1863. A great piece of paper with no edge nicks & just a couple very small pin holes. The vignette is of three workman talking. Hand signed twice in brown ink & also the serial number is hand signed. The back is blank but is just as nice as the front. Measures just over 5 inches long. There are 3 interesting things about this note: 1) The treasury seal is in red ink not the normal green ink. 2) The Georgia coat of arms is slightly larger & is framed with scallops. 3) The plate mark is A & my reference says only F-P were used. All 3 of these traits are referenced by Hugh Shull-Southern States Currency.
