For your consideration one Thomas handbook Copyright 1996-no revision dates - bullet 11 Colt Dragoon -This bullet is not found in the revisions 2007 or 2013 books.  Also see Thomas RoundBall to RimFire Vol 3 bullet 800 Early Colt "sugarloaf" bullet, a smooth - sided "picket" with no recess above the base for attaching a powder case.  You will find this bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition - the marks seen on the second photo are very shallow scratches. The patina is a very thick white color...a near perfect patina. Mold seams can be faintly seen on both sides of this bullet. The solid base is smooth. Measures about 0.46 x 0.70 inches.

This bullet is often mistaken for a picket bullet like this one was.
