Here’s a civil war bullet I have now seen 3 or 4 times. They are out there but darn scarce & as far as I know not listed in any civil war reference books. I call them a side cast (right in the middle of the 3 rings) Georgia troops bullet. For your consideration one unlisted 3 ring Confederate bullet. You will find this bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition. The patina is a near perfect white color. The side cast mark can be easily seen with a small casting voit directly in the center of the side cast mark…see left photo. Heavy mold seams can be seen on both sides & the nose is pointed. Looks like a Georgia troops bullet with a cone cavity (no teat) & notice the false insert ring around the cavity. Measures about 0.57 x 1.11 inches. What could make this bullet any better?? Dug from the Shenadoah Valley of Virginia. Out of a private collection this bullet has never been offered to the public. Two of these bullets can be seen here at TennesseeLead.com page 2 as items TL4072 & a bullet mold that cast these bullets can be seen there too.
