For your consideration one AM-FLASK & CAP CO leather shot pouch & is marked as such..see photo 3. To begin the leather pouch is complete & is embossed, on both sides. with 2 game birds in a field scene-surrounded on both sides by large leaves (my best description). Crazing can be seen & the leather is still pliable & durable. About 50% of the stitching is gone. The leather is firmly attached to the brass spout by a brass rivet thingy..photo 1 & 2. To the brass spout..the patina is a mellow-yellow, aged brass, nice. Photo 3 AM-FLASK & CAP CO can be seen. Some areas are fainter than others. The shot dispensing mechanism works fine. In photo 4 two markings can be seen 1/4 (I think) & a 1. The patch cutter is made from iron & is marked 13. I got these 2 items together & I want to keep them together. AM_FLASK & CAP CO was in business from 1857- 1870. Shot flask is 8 inches long & patch cutter is 3 1/4 inches long. Early in the ACW many shot guns were used.
