For your consideration one elongated ball on the Minie principal bullet that's listed in Thomas RBRF4 as 251. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is real nice white to light white color...a near perfect patina. Notice the very pointed nose. The cavity is a cone & deep inside the cavity a ring in the cavity wall can be seen+...photo 3. A skirt cast (heel cast) mark can be easily seen+...photo 4. At the base of the bottom groove a slight high spot can be seen...that's where the skirt cast sprue was removed...photo 2 & 4. Looks like the sprue was removed with a pocket knife?? Measures about 0.525 x 1.005 inches. Dug from the North Georgia area. See all 4 photos.
