SOLD For your consideration one Confederate A button. You will find this button to be in excellent dug condition. The A has very good definition, the outside border is well defined also with no cracks or any other damage. The patina is a smooth green color. The iron back shows rust but is strong. The iron hook is upright & firmly attached. This button is exactly as found & must have been lost in a well drained area. Dug from one of Confederate General Thomas Rosser New Market, Virginia camps. The Laurel brigade. Rosser fought at 1st & 2nd Manassas, Seven Days Battle, Peninsula Campaign, Catletts Station, South Mtn., Antietam, Gettysburg, Overland Campaign, Wilderness, Cedar Creek, Petersburg, Five Forks & Appomattox Court House. He was wounded at Mechanicsville, Kelly’s Ford & Trevillion Station. SOLD
