For your consideration one brass 1863 civil war token showing the monitor gunship on the front with stars above. On the back UNION FOR EVER can be seen above a shield. Also on the back 1863…dated front & back. This token has been carried & the detail is faint. A very, very slight bend to the token will also be found. Verbal provenance is dug from the Bentonville, North Carolina area. A 1/2 drop of olive oil would bring out a lot of detail. About the size of a penny.
