For your consideration one Mechanics Saving & Loan $2 bill. War time dated August 4, 1862 at Savannah, Georgia. Hand signed in brilliant blue ink. Two red over prints can be easily seen. Great piece of civil war paper with no pin holes & one very small edge nick. Measures just over 6 inches long. Great detail. Printed on the back of obselete Merchants & Planters three & five dollar notes. A vignette of a sailing ship & a shield with eagle & two maidens. Red over print & great detail.
