For your consideration four. shear top, civil war era ink wells. All 4 were dug from the Vicksburg, Mississippi area. The condition of all 4 is excellent. I have not found a chip or crack in the glass. Wells 1, 2 & 3 have quill/pen rests. Well 1 is made from lighter weight light green glass. It is longer than wide. Uneven bottom. Wells 2 & 3 are similar in construction & looks. Heavy, uneven bottoms. Heavy ribbed glass on 3 sides & the 4th side is clear. Ink viewing window? Green glass. Well 4 is about 3 1/2 inches tall. Uneven bottom. Green glass. Imperfections (wavy spots, sediment, air bubbles) in the glass on all 4.   Please excuse the glare from my camera flash.
