For your consideration one Confederate, very blunt nose. Enfield bullet...also a 0.54 caliber. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a near perfect white color. This bullet is filled with cold pour marks. Notice in photo 4 a cold pour mark in the skirt. The nose cast sprue was nipped off at a very blunt angle leaving a pinch mark on the blunt nose. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.54 x 1.02 inches. See all 4 photos.

A cold pour mark is left in a lead bullet when the molten lead is not quite hot enough but poured into a bullet mold anyways. It cools too quickly & wavy marks are left in the lead. A warm to hot bullet mold would also help prevent cold pour marks.
