For your consideration one counterfeit seated liberty quarter dug years ago at Vicksburg, Mississippi. My guess is this was made from pewter…the color is right & there is slight chipping on the edge of the coin. On the front the detail is there but faint. A date that can almost be made out. The back has much better detail. The eagle can be seen & even the lines inside of the shield. The QUAR.DOL can almost be seen. Truely a one of a kind relic. The seated liberty quarter was minted between 1838-1891.
