For your consideration one McKee & Mason 409 - 173A Southern manufacture bullet. You will find this bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice light brown color & the patina has that slick waxy feel to it. Just below the nose you can see a ring all the way around the nose. When casting this bullet molten lead was poured into a bullet mold & before the mold was filled to completion-ran out of lead? Retrieve more molten lead & come back & fill the mold. Where the first filling ended & the second began is this ring you see. The cavity is a plug. Measures about 0.565 x 1.06 inches. See all 5 photos.
