For your consideration one Confederate strechie bullet. A strechie is a larger caliber bullet i.e. a 0.577 caliber fired in a 0.54 caliber rifle. The eitire bullet is down sized being loaded into a rifle barrel too small for the bullet. The bullet is elongated being fired out of a rifle barrel that's too small...that's what we have here. A civil war rarity not seen all that often. This bullet looks like a Confederate McKee & Mason 418-419 - Thomas handbook 132E.
