For your consideration one Thomas handbook 167 The "Spilman" pattern cartridge with the nose of the bullet exposed was made at the Lynchburg Ordnance Depot, VA. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice  white color & much of this bullet is still covered with dirt. Notice the odd bulbed nose & the slight high base first ring. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.57 x 1.045 inches. Dug from the Franklin, Tenn area.      See all 4 photos.
