For your consideration one large, uncleaned, cannon ball fragment-measuring about 4 x 3 inches. In photo 2 you see the nice cupped shape. Inside this cupped piece of iron I see 7 lead shrapnel balls embedded in the tar matrix all covered with dirt & some rust. All slug balls are firmly attached to the fragment.
