For your consideration one unlisted, very crude, Confederate Enfield bullet. You will find this crude bullet to be in very good to excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice white color. This bullet has an easy to seen nose cast mark. What my photo does not show is the nose cast mark is slightly sunken or mashed down into the the nose of the bullet. Mold seams can be plainly seen on both sides & they are both slightly sunken. The cavity is a shallow plug with a step (depressed dot) directly in the center of the plug…see cavity photo. By looking at this bullet my guess is the molted lead was way to hot to be poured into the bullet mold. There are 3 pin hole voids as if the lead was near boiling hot when cast. Measures about 0.57 x 1.01 inches. What could make this bullet any better??…dug from the Corinth/Shiloh area.
