For your consideration one Vicksburg rifle listed as bullet 289 in the RoundBall to Rimfire series Vol 4. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. Thde patina is a real nice white color. In the left & top right photos this bullet has a very low side cast mark. The cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.535 x 1.135 inches. A Vicksburg rifle was a Kentucky long rifle rebored to a 0.54 caliber. These rifles were good shooters but they did not hold up well. Many of these bullets were made at the Nashville arsenal.
