W. WILDT - North Carolina Button ~ TL7636 $150
For your consideration one W. WILDT & SON/RICHMOND Va. North Carolina state seal button. Listed in Albert's NC8B & Tice NC210B The back mark is sometimes illegible. You will find this button to be in excellent dug condition. Great aged patina all over. Everything is tight & strong. The front: has good detail & most of NORTH CAROLINA can be seen around the top rim photo 4-5. Notice photo 3 the great domed front. The back: is solid with a stand up hook...slightly bent to one side (character mark). A depressed channel & an illegible back mark can be see, photo 6-8. An interesting note...I think...the front is made of brass. The back is made of copper. The hook is made from iron-most likely an early war button.
