For your consideration one McKee & Mason 379 - Thomas handbook 168 Southern manufacture, side cast bullet. You will find this bullet to be in excellent dug condition. The patina is a real nice-light brown color with areas of lighter white to light grey colors mixed in...see photos. I do not see a single patina chip. This bullet has the larger side cast mark & with the bullet in hand the side cast mark can be easily seen. See the side cast sprue in photos 1&2. One mold seam can be plainly seen & the other is not as bold. The nose is pointed & the cavity is a cone. Measures about 0.56 x 1.01 inches. Dug from the foothills of Hawkins Co, NE Tenn. CS General Breckinridge's troops. Thomas RoundBall to RimFire Vol 4 lists this bullet as from Nashville or Atlanta. Just one person's oppinion-that's a lot of bullet for 14 bucks. See all 4 photos.
